Bringing Liverpool Together With Si Senor

Recorded and released by The Ragamuffins and mastermind Marc Kenny in Liverpool.

Si Señor is a charity hit single and raises money for the Fans Supporting Food Banks charity.

“Si Senor… Give the Ball to Bobby and he will score”

Si Senor recording session

Sung by 1000s of Liverpool Football Club across the world, this is our Brazilian inspired version the infamous Bobby Firmino football song.

After only a few hours in the studio with Marc, we had layered up drums, percussion, bass, trumpet and sax. The piano, guitar and backing vocals were then added to create a rough mix of the track.

Si Senor On YouTube

On May 20th and almost two weeks ahead of the Champions League game, Liverpool are set to compete in the final match and Si Senor is released on YouTube…

Si Señor on TV

With the track gaining popularity on YouTube, an excited David Jaggs (manager and guitarist of The Ragamuffins) receives a call. It is BBC One, asking if we would like to perform Si Senor live for The Breakfast Show!

We met the film crew in Liverpool’s top bakery, near the Anfield stadium. Alongside some true LFC fans, we performed a heartfelt rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Gerry & The Pacemakers. And, of course, “Si Señor” – in a “Battle Of The Bands” match against Tottenham Spurs.

Si Senor Performed During Champions League Liverpool

On Saturday 1st June whilst I was out working in the depths of Cheshire, 1000s of Liverpool fans were in Madrid celebrating a 2:1 win against Tottenham. We later received this video of Si Señor playing in the impressive Wanda Metropolitano stadium!

The main horn line can be heard 0.27. I love how at 0.35 the compression of the phone recording sound eases off when the crowd is cheering. What does this mean?
